Costa Verde property for sale

The Costa Verde (The Green Coast), stretches from the Costa Cantabrica until the Portuguese border on the banks of the river Miño. The Costa Verde gets its name from it's climate as it receives more rainfall than other areas in Spain, with sunshine not guaranteed even during summer months so is not as popular with tourists as are the Mediterranean costas.

The north west corner of Spain is known as Galicia and here can be found a rich cultural diversity with important ancient Celtic ties. Withou forgetting to mention as well this area is famous for its excellent seafood and wines. The capital of this area is Santiago de Compostela which is also known for its cathedral which is, with Rome and Jerusalem, considered to be a milestone of Christianity and, one of the most famous cathedrals worldwide.

This area is the "real spain" with few foreigners living here. Very akin to Scotland of Ireland with its green landscape and Celtic background.
